toketaWare has ceased trading
(30th January 2024)
My business, toketaWare, has now ceased trading after 11years. I would like to thank everyone who has helped and encouraged me to create/improve the apps over the years.
Some questions you might have below:
Will the apps continue to run?
Yes. The apps will continue to run in the current environment (for which they were designed/tested.) Eventually, a future version of iOS/Windows/MacOS will break something - hopefully years hence.
What about all my data?
Your data is just where you left it (toketaWare has never seen/handled your map data.) If you want to migrate to another app then iThoughts can export in many of the most popular desktop mindmap formats (Mindmanager, XMind, Freemind etc.)
The ITMZ file format is also relatively ‘open’. A developer could easily decode it. The ITMZ file is just a ZIP file containing an XML file and any attachments/images.
I already have a license - where can I download the software from?
If you purchased direct from toketaWare.com then you can download the app from here
If you purchased via the Mac/iOS/Windows Store then you should be able to re-download from there (but this is at the discretion of Apple/Microsoft.)
UPDATE: Some people are being told that the app is no longer on the AppStore and so it can’t be downloaded. This is something you’ll need to take up with Apple directly. There is no way I can provide an iOS download - it has to be via the AppStore.
I have lost/forgotten my license code?
If you purchased direct from toketaWare then you can recover your code from here
If you purchased via the Mac/iOS/Windows Store then there is no license code - you must download an ‘unlocked’ version from the Store app (in the Purchased section.)
Who is going to fix bugs?
No one. The apps are fairly bug free at the moment - so they should continue to run ok. Eventually, a future version of iOS/Windows/MacOS will break something - hopefully years hence.
Where can I get a new license code from?
That’s not possible - the company no longer exists. That said, if you already have a code (or can find one on the internet) then there is no company that is going to chase you for piracy…
I want a refund?
I’m afraid that’s not possible - the company no longer exists…
